*The Fifteenth MT Summit conference, hosted on behalf of the
International Association for Machine Translation (IAMT) by the
Association for Machine Translation in the Americas (AMTA), will be held
at the Hyatt Regency Miami Hotel in Miami Florida, from Friday, October
30 through Tuesday, November 3, 2015. MT Summit XV is collocated and
will take place immediately prior to the 56st Annual Conference of the
American Translators Association (ATA), also taking place at the same
hotel venue, November 4-7. Following our previous successful
collocations, AMTA is happy to continue our collaboration with the ATA.
The two conferences have coordinated program content around joint topics
of interest. The conference program is designed to deepen MT
researchers' and developers' understanding of the needs of the
commercial translation industry and human translators, while also
fostering translators' understanding of modern MT technology and the
role of advanced translation automation in enterprise globalization and
commercial translation processes.
We have assembled an exciting, diverse, and well-rounded program. The
program includes invited keynote presentations by KyungHyun Cho (NYU),
Matt Post (JHU/COE), Macduff Hughes (Google), Spyridon Pilos (European
Commission) and Farid Moussa (US Government). A plenary keynote panel
with David Rumsey (ATA incoming President), Jose Palomares (Venga) and
Jost Zetzsche (translation technology expert) will focus on translators
current use of MT technology. Our research program includes a diverse
slate of 16 paper presentations and 11 posters. The conference also
includes exciting program tracks with several dozen presentations about
government and commercial uses of MT in practice. And don't miss our MT
Technology Showcase - our popular exposition of MT technology exhibits
and demonstrations, which is free and open to the public. The
conference program is now available on the conference website at:
http://www.amtaweb.org/mt-summit-xv/
We scheduled in-depth tutorials and workshops on special topics of
interest both before and after the main conference, on Friday, October
30 and on Tuesday, November 3. For full details, please see the
conference website: http://www.amtaweb.org/mt-summit-xv/
We look forward to seeing you in Miami!!
