Postdoc in Bandit/Reinforcement Learning for Machine Translation, Heidelberg University, Germany
The Statistical Natural Language Processing Lab at the Department of Computational Linguistics at Heidelberg University ( http://www.cl.uni-heidelberg.de/statnlpgroup/), led by Prof. Stefan Riezler, invites applications for a fully funded Postdoc position. The position is situated in a research project on bandit/reinforcement learning for spoken language translation, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Furthermore, it is highly recommended that the Postdoc candidate contributes to the lab and the study program by regularily teaching in our Computational Linguistics program. The appointment is for up to three years and starts at the earliest convenience in 2018. Current and future research directions include neural machine translation, learning to translate from bandit feedback, and spoken language translation.
