The aim of the two-day workshop is to help beginners as well as advanced
participants to acquire new competencies and consolidate and expand
existing ones in the creation and implementation of corpus-based
research designs in the field of translation science. The workshop
primarily addresses doctoral and postdoctoral researchers and offers a
space for learning, discussion and hands-on training. The workshop
comprises one keynote speech and three individual courses of three 3.5
hours each. The courses build upon each other and cover the following
topics:
- Corpus compilation and annotation
- Basics of qualitative and quantitative corpus analysis
- Introduction to advanced corpus analysis: multivariate statistics.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but there is a limited
number of places. The workshop will be held at the University of
Innsbruck, Austria, from 22 to 23 November, 2018.
