The Research Group in Computational Linguistics (RGCL)
(http://rgcl.wlv.ac.uk <http://rgcl.wlv.ac.uk/>) at the University of
Wolverhampton seeks to appoint a Lecturer in NLP, to strengthen the work
in natural language process techniques to support assessments of
healthcare professionals, to contribute to our existing masters’
programmes, to supervise Master and PhD students, and to strengthen the
research in NLP applications of the group. You should have a PhD in
Information Science, Computer Science or Natural Language Processing or
equivalent and experience in software development in these fields. Good
communication and team working skills are essential, and an experience
in interdisciplinary topics relevant to research in the social sciences
or humanities would be an advantage.

detailing your experience in the area and research plans for the next

The Research Group in Computational Linguistics (http://rgcl.wlv.ac.uk
<http://rgcl.wlv.ac.uk/>) at the University of Wolverhampton was founded
by Prof. Ruslan Mitkov in 1998 and is one of the leading research groups
in computational linguistics in the UK and its research has received
world-wide recognition. Since its inception, the research group has
become an international leader in applied NLP and has been very
successful in securing funding from highly competitive sources. This has
enabled members of the group to make important contributions to
different areas of NLP and computational linguistics.
The group is well known for its high level research with strong
international and inter-sector collaboration, and is renowned for its
innovative NLP research and development of various NLP tools and
resources. RGCL was the coordinator of the recently completed EXPERT
project (http://expert-itn.eu <http://expert-itn.eu/>) which trained
young researchers to promote the research, development and use of hybrid
language translation technologies. Currently, RGCL is coordinating the
prestigious Erasmus Mundus Master Programme in Technologies for
Translation and Interpreting (https://em-tti.eu <https://em-tti.eu/>).
