The New York University Abu Dhabi Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab seeks to hire up to two new researchers to work in any of the lab research areas, to be involved in the development of open source tools and resources, and to work on publications related to their work. CAMeL's mission is research and education in artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on natural language processing, computational linguistics, and data science. The main lab research areas are Arabic natural language processing (orthography, morphology, syntax), machine translation, text analytics and dialogue systems. Since its establishment in 2014, the CAMeL Lab has produced over 80 publications and 20 language resources and tools. The positions will target the rank of Post-Doctoral Associate (within 5 years of PhD), or Research Associate (more than 5 years of PhD). A strong preference is for individuals with (a) computer science or computer engineering degrees with previous experience in natural language processing; or computational linguistics/language technologies degrees; (b) strong programming skills and machine learning experience; and (c) a research publication record appropriate for the hiring rank.
