The Workshop on Teaching AI-based Translation and Technologies (TAITT) invites
original contributions for its first edition, to be held in conjunction with
EAMT 2026. Building on a long tradition of pedagogical exchange within the
machine translation (MT) community, the workshop provides a forum for
reflection, innovation, and critical engagement with the teaching of AI-driven
translation technologies.
The rapid expansion of MT, general-purpose large language models (LLMs), and
integrated translation environments calls for new approaches to teaching,
curriculum design, skills development, and assessment. It also raises important
questions about ethics, transparency, trust, and the positioning of AI within
translation workflows and professional practice. This workshop aims to bring
together researchers, educators, technologists, and industry practitioners to
examine how AI reshapes translation education, professional readiness, and the
future of translation work.
