I'm not certain what do you mean by "ported app". Mudlet however uses Qt for it's cross-platform features - like Skype, Mumble and other apps do, and this is something Qt has to be updated to take care of. Perhaps that's available in the newest Qt 4.8 release - I'm not certain, but this is the underlying framework's thing to be looking at.
