I'm not quite certain which ribbon do you mean, UI elements typically aren't called that. Nothing in Mudlet resembles the Windows ribbon either.

I am running Ubuntu Oneiric and mudlet 2.0-rc5. I can right-click the ribbon and then left-click the tick to get rid of the ribbon. However, if I then go to Options -> Preferences, do anything, and click the 'Save' button, the ribbon automatically re-appears.
