Public bug reported:
Just doing createMapper(0,0,300,300) causes all of the toolbar buttons
background to turn permanently black.
On OSX 10.8, they'll also all go completely white - moving mouse over
them will cause them to re-show with the black background.
Ons OXS 10.10, they'll all just have a black background.
