As for style, that is something that I think you (and every one else) chooses for themselves. I am pretty sure from the thought that you do put into your posts that they are considered responses - and I get the impression (and I may be wrong) that you are deliberately provocative. While this can be interesting, and even funny, it does seem easily degenerate into a ping-pong, points scoring exchange. Its easy to take one side (either side) in a "he's shit", "no he's brilliant" type exchange. And name calling adds to the heat rather than the light that at discussion can generate. I find this list at its best when there are constructive exchanges between those with different point of views, and this still does happen amongst everything else. So Pete, I am not telling you what to do - apart from anything else it would almost certainly cause you to do the opposite :-) But in my opinion (which I know is only mine, etc ...) the list would be better if you cut out some of the most provocative, personnel and trolling aspects. To me the list is a cyber pub in Manchester where we meet up to discuss the game (Sorry Terry, I know its an Arabian coffee bar to you :-) and if necessary to me you can be the grumpy old man who demands the same table every night, drinking his 3 pints of mild and complaining about "kids today". But you have seen more of the greats, and not so greats, than most (all?) of us - and you could occasionally wander over and have a game of darts with some of us youngsters, without moaning about artificial flights, the disappearance of the Manchester board and the music on the jukebox. > He also wrote:>>> I know that supporting United does not mean that you > can't criticise or moan about the team or manager <<< > > I have NEVER said that people shouldn't be allowed to criticise (or say > ANYTHING they wanted in fact).
