Depends on what you consider hitting the target. I believe that Beckham always tries to go for the corner of the goal, i.e. if the ball is on target then the goalkeeper has almost no chance of stopping it, hence the percentage of his shots on target would be small. I think that this is how it should be, because there is no point in hitting the ball where a goalkeeper is standing, although sometimes it might help if you are playing against Dudek or James :-) As regards the Giggs debate, I am also of the view that it is just a temporary loss of form and that he will get back to his usual self after sometime. I think that it is due to fact that he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child. Asim.
