And I mean given. Ok, so we should have had at least two pens, and
the freekick they scored from was identical almost to a pen we didn't
get, but that's just unlucky, and we have no control over it.

What we did have control over was our (once again) negative tactics
which have cost us 2pts, joint top spot, and possibly the
championship as the boost may help Arsenal overcome Newcastle later.

I'm sure Peter will be glad to know this "know-nowt" clearly had
better foresight than everyone else as our tactics were just a crash
waiting to happen. And they happened because not only did we start
with a negative formation we took off Veron for Butt to make it more
negative. Why not announce over the tanoy "come and attack all you
want"?

If we'd played 4-4-2 (or at least two strikers) from the start we'd
have monstered them, but as usual the tactics meant we had lots of
posession and very few goals.

We did miss a couple of chances, but missing 2 doesn't mean anything
if you get 10, but we only get 3.

Nash didn't make a save till about the 60th min and that was from
Beckham.

Defending or playing negatively is completely opposite to what our
team has always been about. As Graeme Souness said the other week
we're team who say "if you score one, we'll score two", but nowadays
we're a team who look happy to sit out 1-0 wins and just hope we
don't concede.

Against a decent team it's not bad, but against people like City we
should be swarming forward and hammering them.

The fact that City played more strikers than us for all but the last
2 mins and a supporting midfielder as well is a disgrace. In an away
match it would have been a nuisance, but at home it's like we don't
want to win, or at least aren't willing to gamble anything.

Lots of people said I talk shit etc etc for daring to say Fergie
might be wrong and it's going to cost us the league. Unfortunately I
was right.

Losing from bad refereeing decisions is annoying, but not half as
bloody annoying as losing cause we didn't play like we could have.
