Mikael Silvestre believes Arsenal are still favourites for the Premiership despite their weekend slip-up at Blackburn.
Goals from Rovers' Damien Duff and Tugay condemned the Gunners to a first defeat since they lost at Old Trafford in December, and with United winning at Aston Villa the gap at the top was reduced to just two points. Alex Ferguson's side have still to visit Highbury in what could turn out to be a title-decider, but French defender Silvestre is not holding his breath. United face back-to-back games against Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsene Wenger's champions at the beginning of April, a period which Silvestre believes could scupper his side's chances. "These results are not a turning point," he said. "We are not really expecting Arsenal to slip up again this season. "We have eight league matches left to play and our remaining matches are tougher than theirs." Silvestre is out of United's dead Champions League rubber against Deportivo La Coruna with ankle trouble, and is aware he needs to do some strengthening work. He said: "I find myself getting a couple of sprained ankles a season. That is because of a chronic weakness in the joint and I will have to do some serious work." [ skysports ...
