No-one seems to have mentioned this on TV. Last year, Blackburn got into the UEFA Cup by virtue of winning the Worthington Cup. There was also a spot for the winners of the FA Cup (which went to Chelsea for losing to Arsenal who were in the CL), and 2 spots for 5th and 6th in the league.
Now this year, Liverpool (sadly) won the Worthington Cup, but qualified anyway by being 5th (ha ha ha). Southampton got in via the same route as Chelsea, and Blackburn finished 6th. But that's only 3 spots. Since we are in the CL and were League cup runners up, shouldn't Everton have qualified anyway? Or have we been reduced to 3 spots? Anyone know?
