Manchester United and Arsenal will be among the top eight seeds for next season's Champions League when the draw is made in Monaco in August, thus avoiding big guns such as AC Milan, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich in the first and only group stage. Holders AC Milan will be No 1 seeds and based on results over the last five years, Real Madrid will be second and United third. Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Juventus are also certain to be in pot No 1.
