We've got every reason to feel deep contempt for Wenger, but if you look at his record of getting the best out of players, you have to be a bit impressed. Petit and Viera looked very ordinary at first, and rapidly became one of the best English midfield pairings of the last 10 years; players like Parlour and Adams found all kinds of new dimensions to their game; Henri has been transformed from a pacy winger into a stunning centre forward, etc, etc.. We're still the best, though. Because of Fergie. Pete J ------------------------ Yahoo!
