... it's not exactly 100% support. Fergie says it was "in a way maybe a good thing" that Seba didn't go to Chelsea. Hmm. "in a way maybe a good thing" sounds like Fergie still has some doubts. Let's hope not. Seba wants to stay and he can make a big difference.
(Guardian) Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said on Saturday that his was "very happy" with the club's Argentine midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron and saw him as an important squad player. Veron has received mixed reviews since his transfer to the club for 28 million pounds ($45.28 million) from Italy's Lazio in 2001 and recent media reports have linked the player with a move to English premier league rivals Chelsea. "There was an opportunity for him to go to a club which in a way is maybe a good thing he did not go," Ferguson told reporters shortly before a team training session here. "You can't dismiss the class of the boy, the work rate of him, his desire to play are all great ... I've always been happy with him, he will be an important player for us," he said. ------------------------ Yahoo!
