I second that. After his hysterical rantings about doom, destruction and the general demise and downfall of Manchester United Football Club last season, Ed mysteriously wilted away as we negotiated our way around, over or simply through obstacles like the scousers, then the toons and the Arse. In fact when he did make his scouse-like comeback (ala 01-02 season) I welcomed some refreshing change to the dull close season dribble. but now between Ed making us blue in the face regurgitating stats from the Mirror and the increasingly nuaseating debate over Escude's medical (It's standard practice no matter who the player is, whether he's as fit as Bosnich, drunk as Terry or just had his leg stiched back on, accept , leave it & move on or take it elsewhere...you're filling up my inbox) I'm beginning to see that it's not just me suffering from withdrawal symptons.
Can't wait for Wednesday, the first game I'll be watching (on the telly) since May (Charlton at OT)....F**K, that's three months!!!!! On a lighter note, I watched a replay of the Bolton away on Wednesday.....what a shot in the arm that was, 4 goals, Ole's hat-trick, Beckman had 3 assists (half his season's total), Diego's debut, Fab pulled of two stunning point-blank saves...and no Ed nagging Fergie.
