I don't see the Wizard walking away from the empire he has carefully constructed over 17 years and having to start from scratch, removing a number of players he possibly does not rate to get his own in. I believe he will retire at Old Trafford.
As for Kenyon, he is a moneyman, pure and simple. He may have made the right noises about being a fan, but his career is his motivation, he isn't like us, a supporter who has made sacrifices to follow the club we love. His going to Chelsea is not as big a blow as the media like to paint it, they are just having a pop at Uniteds 'empire crumbling' as they hope it will. His 3 years heading the plc have left us financially in a strong position, but the base was there and did he really mastermind sponsorship negotiations better than anyone else would have done? I won't comment on his involvement on transfer dealings, as only he and one or two others are privy to the full facts, so saying that we paid too much for Veron, or did not get a good price from Beckham would be unsubstantiated. Someone mentioned that he is taking 'secrets' with him about the club. I don't think anything he knows can be exploited by his new employer, unless it is contacts or a deal he can swing their way. Whoever fronts the plc will give out the same 'brand' speel and talk money. That goes with the territory of a plc.
