Manchester United will not be appealing against Sir Alex Ferguson's two-match touchline ban, the Football Association has revealed. Ferguson was found guilty of improper conduct by The FA on Monday after his angry tirade towards fourth official Jeff Winter that saw him sent to the stands during their 2-1 win at Newcastle. The Old Trafford chief was also fined 10,000 for the offence and The Red Devils had said that they would think over the prospect of launching an appeal. Ferguson was said to be fuming at the decision but after considering the matter, the legal team at Old Trafford has thought it best to let the matter rest. "We have received official confirmation that Sir Alex Ferguson will not be appealing against the two-match ban imposed by a Disciplinary Commission yesterday," said and FA spokesman on their website. Ferguson will now be missing from the bench for United's Premiership home match with Fulham on Saturday and their Carling Cup clash at Leeds the next Wednesday.
