Yes, given the opposition I'm glad (in a none edish way), that they didn't play. I don't think either of them could have handled the physical nature of this morning's game. They are both class acts but some players suit certain games and opposition.
Speaking of Ronaldo, I've now seen the Leeds vs. United game in its entirety 3 times, and I still believe that Ronaldo didn't dive. I'm starting to think that the media bollix is slowly creeping into some people's heads. Fancy Arsenal fans at work giving me grief over 'cheating'?! Ha! The first should have been a penalty - no doubt about that. The second, he was caught = fouled, that aint a dive either. Now I know he seems to end up on the ground a lot but nearly always because his legs have been taken from under him - hardly ever is he cleanly tackled. He's got 'twinkle toes' and is usually tackled when only one foot has some contact with the ground (if you know what I mean - he isn't grounded). Anyway, I remember when he was taken out at least five times before the first card was shown a while back - now he's getting this reputation based on media bollix and abu shite. I personally hope he learns to stay on his feet but I don't think he has 'dived' yet. Anyway hats off to both teams for a great game and showing the Arse how a game can be played hard and fast without making a meal out of everything. Now on another point, how'd you think Rangers and Celtic would do in the current Premiership? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ian Moes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > It was a game we could not lose and it was no surprise that Fergie went for > experienced tough players ahead of the likes of Ronaldo and Fletcher.
