Best I can remember was in 1993-1994 when approaching Christmas we had 15 wins, 4 draws & 1 defeat (Chelsea away 1-0 Gavin Peacock)). That season we didn't lose our second game until March (Chelsea at home 0-1 Gacin Peacock) and only lost 4 games in total (Blackburn away 2-0 Shearer) and after our rivals Blackburn lost a lunchtime kick off to Southampton leaving us to get just a win to virtually wrap it up, the dons beat us 1-0 (Fashanu).
All in all that season we won 27 drew 11 & lost 4 scoring 92 points (Premiership record). In the 1994-95 season we created something of a record by winning our first 9 at Old Trafford in the League without conceding a goal. Our away form was poor though - in our first 5 away games we lost 3 !!! Stan Collymore was the first player to score at OT in the League when Forest beat us 2-1 (Pearce got the other) and from then until our final game we only conceded one more goal at OT in the Prem (that in a 1-1 draw with Leicester & Mike Whitlow scored). We were on course for equalling Liverpool's record of only conceding 3 goals at home all season in the League when Simon Charlton gave Southampton a 0-1 lead at Old Trafford in our final home game and it took Andy Cole to get us the equaliser and win us a late penalty (which Dinny Irwin scored) to win 2-1. As for our best EVER start in the league, that had to be under big Ron Atkinson when we won our first 10 games of the 1985-86 season and started like a team possessed.
