I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of our team were tested by Fergie for drugs as some of them looked well off the pace!! Today was just one of those days where the opposition played a very solid game. Fulham knocked the ball about with pace and imagination and were unfortunate not to be ahead by at least 2 goals at half time.
When they announced the Fulham team I said to the bloke next to me that Steed Malbranque was a very good player. Turns out Malbranque had a hand in all their goals today. I wouldn't be unhappy if we bought this lad as he is involved in a lot of Fulham goals. He is only 23 and has a 1 in 4 scoring rate for Fulham - albeit some are penalties. Howard played well again. Ronaldo did OK at times but needs to work on his crossing and shot selection a bit more. Butt and Djemba kept running into the same parts of the pitch but at least both got stuck in. Silvestre had a nightmare. Ferdinand jumps like an elephant and I still can't fathom the number of times he gets out jumped by smaller players. O'Shea still looks below par for me. I think the crowd's patience with Forlan has finally reached breaking point. Yes, he scored but his game is full of basic errors which occur far too often to be just a bad day at the office! Forlan had all our shots today and credit to him for being in the right place but I still think Forlan will be gone by the start of next season. Forlan's confidence totally went in the 2nd half. I thought Bellion showed some nice touches and he made some good runs upfront when he came on. Well, the Sheep Pen beckons again and I expect Butt, Djemba, Bellion, Forlan, Fletcher to all start.
