I went into registry and deleted a subkey for Outlook, forcing Outlook to start and ask me if Outlook was the default email client to which I answered yes. Never the less, I continually get asked the question every few minutes. The Outlook settings confirm that it is the default email client. I am using Windows 7 64 bit with IE8. IE use to have a place to indicate the default mail program but it is lacking in 8. I'm wondering it that is the cause"
