Sepertinya Prerequisites instalasi SQL Server Express tidak mengharuskan adanya
IIS.
Berikut daftar Prerequisites untuk instalasi SQL Server Express :
SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Edition Prerequisites
SQL Server Express .NET Framework 2.0 SP2
Windows installer 4.5
On Windows Vista SP2 Install .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
SQL Server Express with Advanced Services .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Windows installer 4.5
Windows PowerShell 1.0
SQL Server Express with Management Tools .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Windows installer 4.5
Windows PowerShell 1.0

Yakin sudah unduh dan install SQL Server 2008 Exp with Advanced Service
(agar ada Rep service-nya)?
Rasanya lebih mudah daripada SQL 2005 settingnya
Ini sedikit tips :
1. pastikan IIS sudah jalan
2. Jika pakai Win XP install SP 3 dan .NET 3.0 (syukur bisa 4.0)
3. Install MDAC 2.8
