Ah, that SVG isn't really a vector image. It's an SVG with a full size image included. I guess don't worry about that.
If you can, can you update the PNG so it has a transparent background? It looks good on the black background, but if we need to place it on a page or image, the background will get in the way (and we can easily add the black back for any uses we need it for). So a transparent PNG in the repository makes sense as the official logo.
