Well, I'm definitely not predicting that Wayland will be the input server :-) As far as I know, almost no work has gone into input for Wayland. I'm not a gambler, so I'd bet on the safe horse: Wayland wrapping X input for the near-term. That being said, lots of folks have expressed interest in building/seeing/supporting a new input mechanism for Linux. It would be nice to have something that we could -- at the very least -- start experimenting with in Linux. And experimentation is very different that stable deployment :-) Rest assured, If the rumors do end up being true, I will advocate for public inclusion as soon as humanly possible. (Full disclosure: these really are just rumors -- I haven't seen a lick of code). Hope that helps :-) d _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~multi-touch-dev Post to : multi-touch-dev@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~multi-touch-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
