Dear all, Sebastian,

I have a problem in below case, please review and correct, if anything
missing ?

mcproxy downstream interface is not able to function on tunnel interface
like pppoe mode

Details:

1.configure MCProxy with upstream as eth1 and downstream as wan-ppp0
(Where wan-ppp0 is PPPoE Client interface running on top of eth0)
2.start Multicast UDP stream from H2.
3.Start a multicast listener @H1 over the PPPoE-server end point
connected interface.

4) Though i am able to see the IGMP Join, messages receiving at wan-ppp0
interface of mcproxy IFCONFIG Rx packats, the multicast stream is not
reaching to H1. ( the route also updated in ip_mr_cache )

5) Wheras, in place of PPPoE tunnel between H1 and Router, if plain
interface is used, then the Mcast route is forming successfully in Router
and able to receive stream at H1.

Queries:

   q1) Is there anything extra configuration to be done for this kind of
tunnel interfaces ?

   q2) Were there any latest patches to address this issue.

H1 ===================================  Mcproxy/Router
====================== H2

                                            (downstream)wan-ppp0/eth0
           eth1(upstream)

 pppoe-server                         pppoe-client mode

Stream Listener
                                                             Stream-Sender

*my mcproxy.conf looks as below:*

*protocol IGMPv3;*

*pinstace myProxy: eth1 ==> wan-ppp0;*
