Hi, I think we should dissociate GUI and syncengine by making the syncengine a daemon. That whould allow to schedule sync without GUI running, and allow other GUI (think Evolution or an applet for example) to control it if needed.
Just a thought. We have had the same issues in gphoto, and since we are now a library, it makes life easier and we get GUI for other desktops.... Hub -- "<erno> hm.
