This is my dilemma. The data is stored in Opie in 4 XML files, but I cannot tell the difference between "cannot connect to device" and "connected ok, but file not present".
I think I can probably detect the difference with FTP actually (curl has various return codes) although I haven't tried specifically. The problem is with SFTP - I can only figure out how to get success or failure. If someone has a suggestion, preferrably one that doesn't involve race conditions, I am all ears!
