Thanks. It still does not work, but if I change the line to
if [[[ ${EVO_MAJVER} -gt 1 || ( ${EVO_MAJVER} = 1 && ${EVO_MINVER} -ge
4 )]]]; then
it works, as [[[ gets converted to [[ in the actual configure file
(don't ask me why). Is this OK in FreeBSD?
