Hi all multisync developers!
I want to write a multisync plugin to provide syncronization with Mozilla Calendar .ics files. I've been looking into the evolution plugin source, and I think I've worked out now what kind of data I can expect from multisync, what kind of data I need to provide back to multisync, and I believe I know algorithmically what I need to do with my .ics files. The main problem for me is figuring out just how to write a multisync plugin.
I would gratefully accept any kinds of pointers that could help me write any kind of plugin, say for example just a plugin that merely appends all changes it recieves from the other plugin to a file (i.e. logs them :-) and always reports one specified change (or possibly one or more changes just read straight off some specified file).
If someone could kick me off that far I'll be fine with the rest. If such a plugin exists (or could be made, possibly by me :-) and would be published somewhere suitable I think it could provide a very useful aid to other would-be plugin developers such as myself. Wouldn't that be just plain good all around?
I know you guys might already be previously engaged in OpenSync development and may therefore not be overly enthusiastic about getting involved in a multisync plugin project at this time, but I'm guessing that you all might already have implemented some version of that rudimentary plugin at some point of development of your own plugins. In other words, I'm hoping that this shouldn't require much work, and it would probably make a lot of people a little happier.
Anyhow, I'll be happy for any and all help that I'd get. If any of you knows of some M for me to FR I'd be delighted to know which one that would be.
