Hi,

I'm using a Windows CE 2.11 device (Casio Cassiopeia E-105G) with
MultiSync 0.80gnome1, Evolution 1.0.5 and the synce multisync plugin
gnome1-0.8.3, and synce-rra-0.8.4. Synchronisation between CE 2.11
and Evolution generally works ok, but there are some problems...
The Backup plugin works well w/ synce and does not create
duplicate entries (as in 3)

1)I have a full archive of all calendar entries going back about 5
years in Evolution, and I do not want all these to end up on the
device. How can I prevent the synchronisation going both ways? I
thought that the Filter tab should do this, but it does not.
Barring that, a date restriction or something like that is
IMHO essential at some time in the future.

2)The DESCRIPTION field in VEVENTS is not properly (e.g. UTF-8) encoded,
i.e. I get german umlauts and other characters as _. LOCATION and
SUMMARY are encoded correctly, so why not DESCRIPTION as well?

3)Merging of entries with DESCRIPTION may fail - i.e. I get lots of
duplicate entries. However, I've forgotten to create a partnership
w/ the device and always activated the button 'send all entries',
  so perhaps that is responsible.

For 2) I guess a quick fix would be simple... if you point me
towards the code, I can do that mayself. But I do not see a simple
way to do 1) right now. Is there something in a newer version of
MultiSync which I might be able to backport? Are there plans for
such a feature?

Best,
  Alex
