I did a re-test with multisync (20030730 CVS) and Zaurus (OZ3.2)
and everything worked smoothly now. I did test the case where
Zaurus addressbook is empty and the case where it has some existing
entries and everything worked just great. So I think opie_sync is
fine in my case at least.
The only existing problem seems to be with irmc & SonyEricsson T68i
which doesn't appear to work too well at the moment.
First of all, if the phone has no contact entries at all, the
irmc-module will duplicate all entries multiple times on the phone
end until the phone memory is full and irmc starts complaining about
it. If there exists even one entry on the phone, the first merge
operation will be completed, but there exists some duplicate entries
for some of the contacts (haven't yet found out what is the matching
thing with the duplicated entries).
Finally, it seems that irmc just hangs occasionally. It really doesn't
seem to be a matter of waiting long enough, because it doesn't
get finished even after a half an hour.
BTW. Does anyone have some good advices how to enable debug mode
on the irmc-module so that I might get some usefull debug-logs ?

PS. Tom, I noticed that the machine you're sending mail from
(bws10.bridgewatersystems.com) claims itself to be
exch01.bridgewatersys.com (in smtp EHLO) which breaks
spam-checks with reverse dns. Are you able to make changes
on the configurations of that machine to fix it ?
(If not, I'll just add access entry for that machine ...)
