It was on subject 2 days before: "SuSE 8.2 with multisync 0.8 + evo
plugin".

Here is my quote:
"After adding /opt/gnome2/lib/evolution/1.4 to the
/etc/ld.so.conf it has found the plugin."

Do not forget to run ldconfig after appending the line above to the file
/etc/ld.so.conf.
