Probably a bug in libxml2 (2.5.8-2) in sid. I have hit it myself, but
haven't had time to investigate it. 

If you are brave you can always try to downgrade to 2.5.7[1], though I
don't know how if it will blow up other stuff on your machine. (please
let me know if it's working :-)
