Tom, thanks very much for this, but (and isn't there always a but), I have a question.
I'm trying to use sftp (because I can't connect with ftp) but I can only get a connection with ssh if I use ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED] (as the only user on the Z is root). Now, what works fine (without password), but I need to sync with my username on the laptop as that's where all the data in evolution is stored. How do I get around this? Ta. Peter.
