Hello,

I recently installed Multisync, but the only pair that I can get to work
is Evolution <--> Backup.

I installed these RPMs from your site:

multisync-0.81-1.i386.rpm
multisync-backup-0.81-1.i386
multisync-evolution-0.81-1.i386.rpm
multisync-palm-0.81-1.i386.rpm
multisync-syncml-0.81-1.i386.rpm

I installed these on a Mandrake 9.1 desktop, getting an error about not
being able to find libssl.so.4. I created a symbolic link to
libssl.so.9, and it appeared to work.

I'm trying to sync a Palm Vx with Evolution. Since upgrading to Mandrake
9.1 and Evolution 1.4.4, the Gnome Pilot conduits seem broken. I also
sync to jpilot, mainly to use the keychain plugin and because the
SyncMAL is working there--but whenever I use the Evolution conduits, it
completely rewrites all of the contact and appointment records, deleting
all the information in fields the Palm doesn't support.

So I thought I'd try Multisync. But it doesn't seem to work correctly. I
made an Evolution <--> Palm pair. It loaded my Palm id just fine. I told
it to Sync, and it asked me to press the hotsync buttons. I did so, and
it appeared to load the records from the Palm--and then disconnected,
stopping the hotsync without changing anything.

I've also tried syncing to my laptop. The laptop is running Mandrake 9.2
and Evolution 1.4.5. I installed the Multisync package from the Mandrake
contrib media source, which is still 0.80. I set up the desktop with an
Evolution <--> SyncML pair, with SyncML set as a server, and the laptop
up with an Evolution <--> SyncML pair with SyncML as a client. Very
similar result--the connection appeared to be made, but no data
exchanged. Version incompatibility?

I just unpacked the source tarball, and find a bunch of broken symbolic
links, pointing to files in /usr/share/automake-1.6. Mandrake 9.1 has
automake-1.4, and I'm not finding these files anywhere, so I can't
configure the source...

Cheers,
