I have a T610 and ~140 contacts any everything works fine. When syncing for the first time the phone showed a popup, and it really took a while, I guess a minute or so. On my phone I have this option: Menu -> Phonebook -> Options -> Synchronization View -> Name Surname or Surname Name. Since the ShowAs Field in my evo contacts is usually Name Surname it is the same.
