Depending on your phone's capabilities the SyncML or IrMC plugin might
do the trick. SyncML operates over TCP/IP, so it's up to you that your
phone has a network connection to the machine running Multisync. In the
worst case that means dialing out to make a data connection.

IrMC works best over IrDA and Bluetooth. It does support cable
connections, but only to a limited amount of phones -- the chances of
yours working out of the box are rather slim.

Getting photos off it is out of the scope of multisync, and AFAIK only
obexftp can do this over the cable, but as the protocols spoken over
those cables are by no means as uniform as those on IrDA and Bluetooth,
you might very well be out of luck. As a matter of fact, *some* phones
only can send photos via IR/Bluetooth, but I don't know if that applies
to yours. If bluetooth is an option you might give the gnome-bluetooth
subsysten (courtesy of Ed Dumbill) a spin, it includes an obex server
that can receive arbitrary files sent to it via bluetooth. Obexftp is
supposed to speak bt now as well, but I haven't yet got it to work.

Eike
