Well, i've started doing some serious reading yesterday on getting my C skills up (especially glib, and some GTK+), it's been a long while since i last used it, and i wasn't exactly a guru back then.
The most problems will be, i think, in writing the get_changes function for the plugin, communication etc shouldn't be a problem. Also, we should incorporate an autodetection option in the plugin (kinda like gscmxx does, don't know if regular scmxx does autodetection too). The main reason why i want to make this plugin is cause gscmxx always fucks up on my cell phone :s Greetings, Ruben On Mon, 2004-03-15 at 01:36, Alex wrote: > actually i'd love to see support for ME45 as well, as I still can't find > nothing better than this ancient Siemens device. > As Ruben mentioned, scmxx does a really good job in communication part, I > used it to retrieve all my addressbook entries and upload midi and bmp, so > writing a wrapper that gonna use it should be a relatively streight-forward > task. > I wonder who can help me to get started ? > Thanks! > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Ruben Vermeersch" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Sunday, 14 March, 2004 11:26 > Subject: [Multisync-users] Siemens S45 > > > > Are there any plans to support the siemens s45 in multisync? > > > > Most of the work has been done by Hendrik Sattler already, in the SCMxx > > project (http://www.hendrik-sattler.de/scmxx/), so it shouldn't be that > > hard to implement it. > > > > If only my C skills were better, i'd to it... > > > > Greetings, Ruben > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > > This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials > > Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of > > GenToo technologies.
