Hi all,

binary SuSE 9.0 rpm packages for Multisync 0.82 are available now at
http://www-fsv.informatik.uni-wuerzburg.de/~metty/multisync/

And here a few things I'd like to mention:

1)
The version information in the plugin dirs ist screwed up. I'm not familiar
with automake, so I can only report the symptoms: when trying to build a rpm
package with checkinstall the version information looks like this:

Version: [ 0.82
0.82
0.82
0.82
0.82
0.82
0.82
0.82
0.82 ]

It would be nice if someone could hunt down this error because checkinstall
only creates the rpm packages when you change the value manually.

2)
I'd propose to include into the FAQ a hint for SuSE users (and possibly
others) trying to compile the irmc plugin.
When runing ./configure they get the misleading error message "configure:
error: You must have openobex installed." although the latest version of
openobex is installed.
It was mentioned somewhere in the list that you must run 'export
LDFLAGS="-L/opt/gnome/lib/" ' in order to fix this error.
Since the current FAQ entry in this case is misleading and i've experienced
numerous quality of service problems with sourceforge and the mail archives,
I'd love to see this hint in the FAQ.

Metty

PS.: Sorry if you receive this mail two times -- I'm experiencing problems
