I understand the category limitation on Palm. The problem is the plugin is looking at the categories in the ToDo database (which happens to be the last one opened if you enable to sync all of todo, address and calendar) while syncing an address record.
Since I have different categories for addresses then todo items, it cannot find the right category. I believe the correct database needs to be open first before searching for the category. I think right now the opening of the database is delayed until we need to add/update the record.
