Future versions of SynCE will probably include KDE synchronization
support via KDE's Kitchensync mechanism. If the mailing list archives
had worked properly i would have provided a link to a mail that Volker
Christian sent last week but now I just quote relevant parts:

There have been many many questions about SynCE-KDE concerning syncing a
windows ce device with kaddressbook. I am aware of some shortcomings in
the current synchronization implementation. Because the kde-pim
architecture has changed much from KDE-3.1.x to KDE-3.2.x it is no
longer verry easy to provide a reliable kaddressbook synchronization.
The main reason for that is that one could not interact with the
kaddressbook out of a subthread of a kde-application anymore. One has to
do all calls to the addressbook directly from the main thread (where the
main eventloop is running). Due to the fact, that SynCE-KDE performs the
synchronization in a seperat thread on has to perform some headstands to
do syncing. And exactly those headstands are not really reliable in the
current implementation of SynCE-KDE.
But there is a gleam of hope: The kitchensync framework is in a state
where it will become really usefull - and - there is now a diplomar
studet of mine who's thesis subject is "Synchronization of Windows CE
and Linux". He will spend some work in bringing Windows CE - KDE
synchronization to a state where it really works by using kitchensync.
It is planed to provide kaddressbook, todo, and event synchronization
and even more if there is time. He will start his work in the next week.
So we could expect to have a working synchronization in the medium-term.
