It not a bug its a feature [tm] :)

Your speculations are correct. The palm keeps an internal database with
the dirty flags. Unfortunatly the palm does not support multiple ids (so
that you can use one id to sync with the first comp, the second id to
sync with the second one etc).

One workaround i could imagine would be to sync the palm to a central
storage which could then be synced against all comps.

Another workaround would be to use resync (slow-sync). To do this go to
"options" in multisync and enable "Show resync button". But be carefull.
Sometimes this leads to duplicates.

The last options would be to wait for the next major multisync version
which will hopefully support "Sync groups". But there is no release date
yet.
