I
have been playing with my 1940 and Evolution, and have found that any event
entered into my iPAQ shows up in my Evolution with the Time Zone set to UTC, but
if I edit the event and change the TZ to EST, then everything is fine, the event
actually has the correct time, just the wrong zone. If I create an event on the
Laptop (Evolution) then it gets migrated to the iPAQ just fine.
I just created an
event for tomorrow 12:00 EST, and told Multisync to sync, and the event showed
up at 8:00 in my calendar, but there are three other events in my Evolution on
the correct timezone and well displayed. On the display, if I edit a proper
event, it has no TZ fiels beside the time and globe icon, if I edit the new
event, then the item has an extra field displayed, which indicates UTC, if I
change that to EST, then it moves to the proper time, and that display field
disapears!
What I need to know,
is whether SynCE, Multisync, or Evolution is causing this??? So I have copied
the Multisync list for this message as well as the SynCE list in
general.
My setup is SuSE
9.1, AMD64 laptop, Synce 9.0 from source, Multisync 0.82 from SuSE, and
Evolution 1.4.6 from SuSE.
