I realized this time that I was wrong in my last email.  The cpu gets
pegged here (right after Found 302 changes).

It took about 30 seconds after the cpu was pegged for the palm to give
the connection lost error message.

No problem.  I let it run for 10 minutes and it was still pegged after that time.
