Hmm - this does sound like a showstopper to me. Even if syncing is cheap (volume wise) there is still the problem that you have to connect phone and desktop through the big bad internet. And (worst case) 1 GB of GPRS traffic costs me ~5000 EUR. How does apple do it with isync?
