Hi

I have just downloaded and compiled the las CVS snapshot (yes, the last
one, I checked this ;-), without any problems in my SuSE 9.1, to sync my
clié (tj-27) with evo2.

The only problem I found is with phone numbers. And just in evo2, in 1.4
there was no problem.

When the file goes from pda to evo, there is no problem. Any number is
recognized and accepted in the right category.

But when the file goes from evo2 tu PDA (new, or modified one), then the
home and work phones (the more used ones, for worst) are not recognized
and do not appear in the PDA. The rest of data, at last in my test,
seemed to sync right.

Invoking the multisync from xterm, and saving the output gives, for a
new file made in evo2, that:

The 9111111 and 9222222 are the not accepted phones, work and home
respectively. Even if there are three error messages for phones, the
6666666, which was my test mobile phone did appeared right in the PDA.

I don't know which is th problem exactly, but I hope that can help you
to fix it.

By the way, I'm using evo2 and my clié in Spanish, but the evolution
2.0.2 that I'm using in my SuSE 9.1 uses english names in the gui for
the labels of the data (work phone, address, etc), though the rest of
the application works in Spanish, don't know if that could have
something to do with that, though I don't believe so... Or perhaps evo2
is still not mature enough...

Hope that can help, and you can fix it. I LOVE multisync, works in my
clié much better than gnome-pilot...

During that time, I will return to my evo1.4 and continue with
multisync, that work perfect for me.

Thanks

Nacho
