Evo2 has many categories to define a phone number for a given user, e.g. Home Phone, Mobile Phone, Business Phone, etc. The problem seems to be that MultiSync does not take care of those category details and just assumes (IMHO) that the remote device may be able to just store one phone number -- This way after the sync process I will have only one kind of phone number on my Nokia 6600 and not all the numbers I've used in evo2 for my contact.
